The selfie must be a 'live' picture — meaning one that's taken in the moment, rather than a scan or a picture of an existing photo. The selfie must be taken by you and you should be the only person that appears in it.

Steps to follow when taking a selfie

  1. Find good lighting, remove any face coverings (like glasses or hats)
  2. Approve access to your camera for the Revolut app in your device's settings
  3. Move your face into the oval in the middle of the screen, then wait until it turns green
  4. Press the image capture button to take a photo (may happen automatically)
  5. Verify if the selfie requirements are met
  6. Hit 'Confirm' and continue with the transaction

If we're unable to verify your identity, a chat will be automatically opened and an agent will help you further.

If we suspect it's not you, we'll temporarily restrict your account to protect your security.
