Can Revolut <18 cards be used abroad?

🌍 Your child can use the Revolut <18 card to make purchases abroad while travelling. The currency conversion during a transaction works the same way as it does on a Revolut adult account.

The difference is, adults can hold foreign currency accounts within Revolut, whereas the <18 account can only hold a balance in their parent’s base currency.

Your child will not be able to exchange and hold the foreign currency beforehand, but transactions can still be made in a foreign currency and their account will be charged based on exchange rates at the time of the transaction.

You can check the currency exchange limits and fees that may apply to these transactions in your own Revolut app.

👉 Fair currency exchange fees and ATM withdrawal fees are applied if the limits are exceeded. You can read more about it in Revolut <18 T&Cs.
