Revolut US charter application

Revolut US has officially submitted our application for a US national bank charter.

This is a major milestone in our mission to build the world’s first truly global bank, and we want to be completely transparent about what this means for you and your money. The regulatory approval process takes time, and we want to assure you that absolutely nothing is changing right now.

We'll continue to communicate with you further as the process develops.

Will this impact my account?

Our trusted partner bank, Lead Bank, will continue to support our operations seamlessly, ensuring your money remains safe, secure, and fully accessible. You don't need to take any action.

What does a charter mean for me?

  • Better rates and new tools: We'll offer a greater selection of products at better rates
  • A smoother experience: Direct access to payment networks (like Fedwire and ACH) means faster and more cost-efficient money transfers
  • FDIC insurance: Your deposits will continue to be FDIC insured

Our commitment to you

Revolut is dedicated to the US market. We're investing $500 million over the next few years to accelerate our growth and build the products you need.
