What will happen to my funds if Revolut goes bankrupt?

How will Revolut’s bankruptcy affect my funds?

Your account is a prepaid debit card associated with a bank account held with Lead Bank. You may hold funds in different currencies at the same time.

Funds in your Revolut prepaid card account may be held at Lead Bank or, at Lead’s discretion, it can open an account and place your funds at certain other FDIC insured financial institutions.

For more details or the list of banks where your money may be placed, you can review the Lead Bank Sweeps Online Account Disclosure.

How does Revolut protect my funds?

Because your funds are stored in US bank accounts, your funds are fully insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) up to $250,000.
