Who is covered by travel insurance?
In addition to having a Metal or Ultra Revolut plan, the following requirements must be met for you and your trip to be covered by Revolut travel insurance:
- You're a resident of the UK
- You're at least 18 years of age and not older than 75
- Your primary residence matches the address on your Revolut account and your trip starts and ends at your primary residence. Read more about why this is important on this page
- Your journey meets the definition of a trip. Have a trip coming up? Check whether it might be covered with this form.
- Your trip was paid for with your Revolut account. Read more here
Are children covered?
If you and your trip meet the eligibility requirements for cover, your children (including fostered, adopted, and step-children) are also covered by the travel insurance, so long as they're:
- Under 18 years of age (or under 23 if they're in full-time education)
- Financially dependent on you or your partner (even if they don't live in the same residence)
- Unmarried
Are travelling companions covered?
Your spouse or partner is covered under this policy if you and your trip meet the eligibility requirements for cover, so long as they're:
- A spouse by marriage, domestic partnership, or civil union
- Living with you for at least 12 consecutive months prior to travel and at least 18 years of age
- Travelling with you
When you make a claim, to verify your eligibility, the insurance provider may request documentation proving that you and your partner live together. This could include a utility bill or an official letter from a government agency or bank.
How to check your coverage
This is only a summary of your coverage. Revolut travel insurance is provided through Chubb, not Revolut itself. Chubb is responsible for policy terms, conditions, and claim handling. If you have questions regarding the cover, contact Chubb or read the T&Cs by following these steps:
- Tap this link or go to 'Home' on the bottom menu, look for the search bar at the top of the screen, and search for 'insurance'
- Then, select 'Travel' and tap 'Documents'
