Unsupported cards for Apple Pay and Google Pay top-ups
Not all cards added to your Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet can be used to top up your Revolut account.
To check which cards can be used, go to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Apple Pay
You should see a logo displayed on the card you wish to use, which will tell you if you can use your card for top-ups.
- Cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo (alone or alongside the iD or QUICPay logo) can be used to add money to Revolut
- Cards with only the iD or QUICPay logo and transport cards (like Suica and Pasmo) don't support Visa or Mastercard contactless, and can't be used to add money to Revolut
In the Revolut app, while trying to add money to your account via Apple Pay, any card that isn't enabled for online payments will be greyed out and listed under 'Not enabled for in-app payments'.
Google Pay
When adding a card to Google Wallet, depending on your card network, you can choose between Visa or Mastercard contactless, or iD or QUICPay.
- Cards added as Visa or Mastercard contactless can be used to add money to Revolut via Google Pay. To confirm, check if the contactless logo shows on the right side of the card after you add it
- If you added a card as iD or QUICPay previously, you'll need to re-add it as Visa or Mastercard contactless
If there's no cards available in your Google Wallet in the Revolut app to top up your account, you should see the message 'There are no payment methods available'. If you need help, reach out to your card issuer.
Other unsupported cards
There are some cards that won't be supported, even if they meet the requirements above. These cards have been made unavailable to improve your experience as a customer, because your card issuer will always decline the transactions. These cards are:
- SMCC-issued prepaid cards
