How does Revolut keep my money safe?

How Revolut safeguards your money varies depending on ‌the Revolut entity you’re registered to. To find out ‌which Revolut entity you're registered to:

  1. Click on the 'Profile' icon (top left of the Home screen) in-app
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  3. Find the name of the Revolut branch you’re registered to at the very bottom of the page

The deposit protection scheme available for banks under the Deposit Insurance Act isn't applicable to customers of fund transfer services. Instead, the Payment Services Act established a system of security deposits to protect the customers, and Revolut has concluded a trust contract of security deposit with JSF Trust and Banking Co., Ltd to achieve this.

Should these circumstances arise, our customers can receive refunds on a priority basis due to the trust contract of security deposit.

In addition to this trust contract, we make security deposits with the Tokyo Legal Affairs Bureau, as required.

All your card transactions are processed by the Visa network and are protected by Visa rules.
