How does Revolut keep my money safe?
How Revolut safeguards your money varies depending on the Revolut entity you're registered to. To find out which Revolut entity you're registered to:
- Tap your profile icon in the topleft corner
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Find the name of the Revolut branch you're registered to at the very bottom of the page
The Deposit Insurance Act scheme for banks doesn’t apply to fund transfer services. Instead, under the Payment Services Act, Revolut protects customers through a security deposit trust contract with JSF Trust and Banking Co., Ltd.
Should these circumstances arise, our customers can receive refunds on a priority basis due to the trust contract of security deposit.
In addition to this trust contract, we make security deposits with the Tokyo Legal Affairs Bureau, as required. All your card transactions are processed by the Visa network and are protected by Visa rules. Learn more by visiting our T&Cs website.
