The recipient received a lower amount than the one I sent
The recipient may receive less than the amount you sent due to one of the following reasons:
- Transfers in different currencies: the bank may charge an exchange fee if the currency the transfer was sent in is different than the recipient’s account currency
- SWIFT transfers: intermediary banks may charge handling fees for these types of transfers
- Recipient bank fees: the recipient bank may charge a fee for incoming transfers
