What’s the cover for cancelled or delayed trips and airport delays?

The following is only a summary of your Revolut travel insurance coverage. To check your full policy in-app:

  1. Go to 'Lifestyle' on the bottom menu
  2. Select 'Insure'
  3. Select 'Travel', choose a coverage type
  4. Tap 'All documents'

Cancelled and missed Flights

Flight cancellations or delays due to airport staff shortages aren't covered by our travel insurance. For compensation, you’ll need to contact your airline directly.

Delayed Trips

If your flight is delayed for 4 hours or more, you're entitled to compensation up to £€500 (£€100 for the first 4 hours, £€100 per hour after) per eligible traveller.

Trip Cancellation

If you need to cancel your trip before your journey due to unforeseen circumstances, such as injury or illness, you'll be covered for non-refundable costs, cancellation fees, and rebooking fees up to the amount of £€5000. To be covered, you need to claim before your journey has started.

Revolut Ultra customers are eligible for our trip and event cancellation protection. To get detailed information in app head to Lifestyle in the bottom menu, select 'Insure', choose 'Travel', select a type and tap 'All Documents'.

Trip Interruption

If your trip is interrupted for a reason covered by our policy, such as an injury or illness (including Covid-19) you will be covered for:

  • up to €5,000 for unused trip costs.
  • Up to €1,000 for emergency accommodation.
  • the cost of an economy class ticket.

Travel insurance is only included in Premium, Metal, and Ultra plans.

If you're eligible for cover, you can raise a claim directly with the insurance provider:

  1. Head to 'Lifestyle' in the bottom menu
  2. Tap 'Insure',
  3. Choose 'Travel', select a type, tap 'Get Help'
  4. Press 'make a Claim'.
