Cover for sports and activities

Revolut travel insurance offers cover if you (or your insured travelling companions) are injured while participating in an activity or sport during your trip.

Not all activities are covered, and some activities have specific requirements to ensure you are covered.

Examples of covered activities

  • Canoeing, kayaking, sailing, or yachting — as long as you travel less than 12 nautical miles
  • Cycling, not BMX or mountain biking
  • Trekking, hiking, or hill walking up to max 1,000 metres above sea level and once guides or ropes aren't needed
  • Motorcycling up to 125cc. You must wear a crash helmet if you’re in control of the bike and have a full UK motorcycle licence
  • Safari — only professionally organised camera safaris
  • Skiing or snowboarding. You must be accompanied by a qualified guide if you go off-piste

If the activity you want to participate in isn't listed in your policy wording or is excluded, you won't be covered if you’re injured while doing the activity.

Key exclusions

  • The activity is the main reason for your trip, except for winter sports activities
  • You don't follow all local laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • You don't use any recommended safety equipment
  • You're taking part in any competitions, races, or practising for speed or time trials
  • You're participating in an activity as a professional
  • A doctor has advised you against participating in the activity

How to check your coverage

This is only a summary of your coverage. Revolut travel insurance is provided through Chubb, not Revolut itself. Chubb is responsible for policy terms, conditions, and claim handling. If you have questions about the cover, contact Chubb or read the T&Cs by following these steps in the Revolut app:

  • In the search bar at the top of the screen, search for 'Insurance'
  • Select 'Insurance'
  • Select 'Travel insurance' and tap 'Get help'
