When you add a new card to a payment service (like PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay) or make an online payment, the payment processor will sometimes attempt a transaction of 0 — or a very small amount of your local currency — to verify your card details. This verification process doesn’t result in any charges to your account. We’ll mark transactions like these as ‘Card verification’ in-app, so you know why they’ve happened.
