My card deposit didn't work
Pending card deposit
It may take some extra time for your card issuer to process the deposit. Once the deposit is pending in Revolut, the money can take up to 30 minutes to be credited to your account. You can check the deposit status in your in-app transactions list.
Failed or reverted card deposit
Check the reason and refund timeframes by tapping the deposit in your in-app transactions list. The money can take up to 30 days, although usually within 5 business days to be returned to your card issuer account.
Common reasons for failed card deposits are:
- Failed 3D secure: You didn't authenticate the deposit with your card issuer, usually via a notification in their app or with a one-time password via text message. You can try again with an Apple Pay or Google Pay deposit. Learn more about them in this FAQ
- Card issuer decline: your card issuer has declined this transaction based on one of their internal rules, such as exceeding certain limits
- Insufficient balance: Your external card issuer account balance is below the requested amount
- Restricted account: You may have limited access to card top-ups. This can happen for various reasons, such as if one of your documents is 6 months past its expiry date. To upload an updated document, follow the steps in this FAQ
- Technical issues: These are usually temporary, so you can try this card again later. In the meantime, try another card or method to add money

Apple Pay or Google Pay issues
If you experience issues adding money with Apple Pay or Google Pay, read this FAQ for more help. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting your card issuer.
Duplicate, missing, or mismatched deposits
Unfortunately, we can't cancel a card deposit. Once you receive the funds, you can use them on your card payments.
You may see a duplicate deposit on your card issuer statement. If you don't see both deposits in Revolut, the duplicate charge should be removed from your card issuer statement within 5 business days. For more information, we recommend contacting your card issuer.
It can sometimes happen that the transaction date shown on your card issuer statement is different from what you see in your Revolut app. If your transaction appears to be missing when comparing statements, check if the deposit was recorded on different days.
