Why was my top-up reverted?
Technical issues
Temporary issues with Revolut or the card issuer's system may cause a card deposit to appear as pending for a prolonged time, and then get reverted. If that happens, tap the deposit in your transactions list for more information and help.
Your card issuer disputed the charge
When you add money to your Revolut account using an external card, sometimes the card issuer may revert the transaction. This is known as a top-up chargeback. If your card issuer sends a top-up chargeback, the funds will be temporarily blocked on your Revolut account while the payment is disputed.
- If the card issuer you transferred money from wins the dispute, the deposit amount will be refunded to the account you topped up from
- If they lose the dispute, the deposit in your Revolut account will be unblocked
For more detailed information and updates on your dispute, contact your card issuer.
